FAQs

  • How do I book a place?

You can fill in a form on my Contact page or email me directly with any questions you might have. I’ll be in touch with the details of the next workshop.

  • How much does it cost?

Each workshop is priced individually, see Workshops page for details. I’ll share payment details with you at the time of booking.

  • Where does the workshop take place?

In person workshops are held in Mid Sussex, the exact address will be shared at the time of booking.

  • Do you offer concessions or payment plans?

I am open to discussing concessions and payment plans, I want this work to reach as many people as possible. Send me an email at hello@sarahbarker.org.uk and we can take it from there.

  • What if I book but can’t come?

Please email me at hello@sarahbarker.org.uk to let me know that you need to cancel and I will consider whether a refund is appropriate.

  • Is the venue accessible?

I aim to choose venues with good accessibility, but if you have specific needs or questions, please do get in touch before booking so we can make sure you’ll be comfortable.

  • Will food be provided?

Snacks and drinks will be provided, please bring a packed lunch.

  • How many people will be in the group?

Group sizes vary depending on the workshop, but are always kept small enough to ensure a safe and supportive environment.

  • What kind of activities are included?

Workshops include simple rituals, sharing with a partner and in the group, gentle movement and some writing.

  • Do I have to share my story?

You will never be forced to share anything you’re not comfortable with. There are opportunities to share and be witnessed, but your boundaries will always be respected. Simply being in the space and participating in the exercises can be powerful.

  • Is this a therapy group?

No, this isn’t therapy, and I’m not a trained therapist. These workshops are supportive, experiential spaces to help you process what you’ve been carrying. Many people attend alongside or after therapy, but it’s not a replacement.

  • I'm worried I'm going to get too emotional...

These workshops are designed to be gentle and supportive. It’s okay to feel and show emotions, and it's also okay not to. Everyone processes differently. You’ll be guided at a pace that feels manageable and supported throughout.

  • What should I bring or wear?

Just yourself, comfortable clothes, and anything you need to feel at ease (a notebook, warm layer, water bottle). Details will be sent ahead of time.

  • Is this suitable for me if I’m struggling with my mental health?

These workshops are not suitable for those experiencing severe or acute mental health challenges, or those under the care of a psychiatrist or similar professional. If you’re unsure whether it’s the right fit, please get in touch to talk it through. You can email me at:
